Didn't even do anything that wrong today and still did my head in.

He slows the game down too much in possession and always looks to have a clanger in him like Distin.

As I said, he blows hot and cold. People see him step away from a player and wet themselves, then conveniently ignore when he screws up a two yard pass or runs the ball into the opposition needlessly.

He's nowhere near ready to be considered an automatic choice at this level, but he is promising. Give him another 18 months.

Barry should be in the side ahead of Besic at the moment. Barry is the level head when we're on top, allowing us to attack with confidence, whilst Besic is reckless and goes hot and cold far too often.

Id like to think McCarthy has enough experience now to be the more disciplined of the two if paired with Besic. I don't see Besic needing 18 months experience to cement a place in the starting XI.

I would have both him and McCarthy in the team ahead of Barry, now. In fact today it could be argued Barry gave away possession in more dangerous areas than Besic.

This next year to 18 months the amount of game time Besic sees could be crucial to his development, I hope he gets plenty of it.

And Barry gets less, I hope

Had a very decent game today.

Agree. I've slated him the past month or two but credit where it's due today, he had a decent game and put in the effort. Hopefully he gets some form together, at least while McCarthy isn't playing and then he gets some much needed rest on the bench.

Still think he can do a job for us providing he doesn't start matches.

He's followed on from his West Ham game with another good performance.

I would still have Besic and McCarthy. I just think having legs and two players that can press might help us win the ball further up the pitch.

But Barry is playing himself back into form. Maybe it was the injury and hopefully he keeps it up because we all know Martinez is not going to drop him.

Against Chelsea I can see him playing all 3 and leaving Kev, Naismith and Rom to counter.

Played slightly better than he has been recently, still drop him when J-MAC is fit again though so its him and besic.....two tough tackling midfielders...
