Dario Terracotta
Player Valuation: £70m
That lazy trailing leg challenge he does has cost him so much in terms of bookings, first time I noticed him do that was for the pen at Arsenal in the FA Cup last season

.....Gibson coming in could be positive, he's often a supreme passer of a football.
Agree, I think Lukaku would be a huge beneficiary of a fully fit and "in form" Gibson. Lukaku cutting inside onto a through ball from Gibson would be a great sight!
I think Besic's ready. He played well last night. Still think Barry and MCCarthy should be the first choice pair.
Besic's time will come, but he's still got a hell of a lot to learn
I think there's a fair few people that would have liked to see more of the Besic Barkley partnership. Maybe not in big games but certainly against the likes of Hull.It might be an unfair question but it is the one that Martinez has had to deal with - don't you think it a touch unfair of you to complain without taking into account the circumstances?
McCarthy - Injured Wolfsberg 27th Nov out for a month, back for Stoke on Dec 26th but breaks down next game vs Newcastle 28th Dec, only returns 7th Feb. Misses premier league games 13, 14 , 15 ,16 ,17, 20, 21 ,22 , 23
Osman - Injured vs West Ham 22 Nov, takes a while to diagnose problem so plays in a couple of games but not seen since 2 min cameo vs Man City 6th Dec. Missing league games 16 onwards
Gibson - last match 14th Nov for Ireland, first appearance on bench Crystal Palace. Misses games 12-22
Basically since end November until this week if we didn't want to play Barry our choices in midfield been to partner Besic with Barkley or a youth team player like Ledson. Perhaps we should have, especially in a game such as West Brom or Hull, but it isn't quite as straight forward as made out.
As for the Capital one league cup game it was at the end of September and Barry was rested for that game - Gibson and Besic were partnered together, Barry didn't even make the bench.
Has a decent shot aswell.
Getting Gibson to run with any speed would be a problem also - my midfield trio would be MaCarthy, Besic, and full of work and skill, and a chance of a goal scorer in there!Agree with this, main problem getting a fully fit Gibson is hard to find these day's.
With the MLS it does change things. He won't stay here on the bench. Why would he when he can make more money in the MLS?Well this a thread about Barry.. You say the 3 year thing means nothing but say he will go to the mls, surely you don't think a 3 year deal was the right call. His performances have deteriorated a lot this year, still like him though he was class last season

Plus at least it puts the control in our hands, if he wants to go and we don't want him to go then we don't have to let him. It also gives Barry security in case he was to get injured.
I thought it was weird at the time too but it's done now.
I don't tbf.Would he make more money in the MLS?
Im not 100% sure, but I cant see the MLS wages matching the PL, I know they have DPs and some kind of bollox, so im prolly wrong, who knows??
Don't think that Hull game could have been any worse if we'd just decided to play the U21 team!I think there's a fair few people that would have liked to see more of the Besic Barkley partnership. Maybe not in big games but certainly against the likes of Hull.
