That's a weird and a little bit gay way of fantacising about Everton, though?
Here at GOT, we embrace casual homosexuality.

Back to topic, heard his interview on radio tonight and he says he never really considered going anywhere else, even though he had more lucrative offers.

He's settled, see, that matters to folk. He doesn't have to move house nor do his kids have to move schools. Same thing with Roberto last year. Locality works wonders. Now if we could just persuade Lukaku to get a mortgage round here......

Everyone on GOT is a casual homosexual aren't they?

Its why I joined.

from the star like, but i don't like this

He said: "I think he should keep playing.
"If Steven wants to play and an England squad is being picked you've got to say he's the best man for the job playing central midfield.
"Looking at his performances for Liverpool last season, he was one of the best players in the Premier League so if there's no-one else better than him he should be playing for England.
"That's Steven's decision in his head whether he still wants to do it.

In other snippets of his interviews over the last day or two, when asked about England he's clearly a bit pissed he was ignored. (Rightly so IMO) and clearly doesn't think there was much promise there given how we were eliminated.

Still amazes me Roy has gotten off so lightly! In a WC where all good teams played an attack based game successfully....our only positive is we tried to play an attack based game uncesscsufully!! That's down to bad squad selections and tactics by Roy!!

Barry would of brought some order to that England mess of a midfield. Shame McCarthy not English, could get rid of both Gerrard and Henderson in one full swoop!

I honestly don't think i'd have picked Barry for the World Cup if i'd been England manager this summer.

Which will probably be wildly unpopular!

But if we were to have any sort of success per se in the World Cup we needed rigidity in the dm position which we didn't have at all, Barry would have brought that I feel

I totally understand the argument for Barry and it's easy to see in hindsight how he might have done a job for us. But we were smashed down the flanks so a rigid DM may not have helped at all.

McCarthy however, he gets all over the place .... but is Irish!

And I can't ever forget Barry against Germany in South Africa, and he's 4 years slower than that now!

I just wouldn't have picked Barry i'm afraid.

No to the England shout, he would have been slaughtered along with the rest of the england lads.

Tbf on Barry think he was carrying an injury in that game. But speed has never been his strong suit anyway so has had to rely on good positional sense and hope the CBs behind him can fill in if needed for pace, unfortunately John Terry's legs had totally gone by that game.

Wouldn't have taken Barry to Brazil either, he looked far too tired at the end of a long season to have coped with the heat/humidity and frequent games.

England are really short of options for true defensive midfielders in general, most of the ones we have are either old or slow or both.
