PS Read in the paper today that Roberto had to go to BK to make it clear how vital barry was to the team and squeezed the fee out of him.

Don't know if it's my blue tinted glasses speaking here but IMO Gerrard and Henderson partnership for England was the main reason we went out early! Having said that it was probably just roys tactics as they were good (not outstanding) for Liverpool.

And Barry being ignored completely shows why Roy shouldn't be manager.

Bringing through all these talented youngster requires experienced, winning heads in the playing staff.
Not to dismiss the likes of Jags, Howard, Distin, Pienaar, etc, but Barry is in a league of his own ITO British players with these attributes.
He won "best trainer" last season. Has more than 50 international caps. Played more than 500 Premier League games. Won the League and the Cup. He's a fantastic player to have tied down for the next 3 years. Brilliant for all the youngsters.
Oh, he's also a top top footballer.

Will you wind it in, he's clearly fecking shoot as the media and Johnny Englander will remind you after Ozil outpaced him.
