Not really just that reports had us paying a fee of 2 million for a free agent, and the 3 years wages - I would be made up now if we can muster the funds for Lukaku as he is a better investment imo!
BK must have more funds if we are to maintain the same level Lukaku would be a big miss!
 
So, by all accounts this has been done for ages, just needed Bobby to get back from Brazil.

Which makes me want to call out the journo's sources about Arsenal West Ham etc. They need to be more accountable.

2 or 3 years it doesnt really matter. The longer the contract the more likely we are of getting a fee when he moves on. He won't still be at Everton in 2 years time.

Well im not happy with that, this crap they spout gets picked up on by the morons that form opinions based on what these "journos" tell them, and part of the reason we are viewed as "Plucky Everton".

Man City had to spend about a gazillion pounds to be taken seriously, it's the way of the world!

Media perceptions are always lazy.

We're already shaking that inferiority complex under Martinez, eventually the media will notice. But really, all that matters is what happens on the pitch. Don't let the media bother you.

A lot of folk don't get the importance of personality and influence in the squad. That's why I was happy we gave Hibbo a new contract, too.

You are right mate, I know. Hard to find good, balanced and well thought media these days.

I find that people dont want to talk football with me these days, laughing at their "opinions" , and they should make up their own opinions by watching and getting a feel for the game.
 
can I ask,when did 36 become too old to be a footballer ?,good players the world over played to that age and beyond didn't they ?.It's not like he will need to be running 100 kmh where he plays,ageism lads ageism .........Gareth mate,the oldies thread is in the ale house !.
