We should have more options in mid this year though. Hopefully Gibson can stay injury free and we can just rotate the two to save both their legs. Its mind boggling Gibson is 26, he seems to have been around forever but at the same time has barely played football. Atleast with them both in the squad neither of them should be overplayed.

Hopefully, but Gibson's legs will probably explode again and I can't see Ledson getting much game time aside from maybe the Carling Cup and Europa League (which will give us loads of extra games, don't forget).
Yes but if a bunch of semi clueless clowns like us have picked up on slight fatigue from Gaz Baz you can be damn sure that Bobby, the coaching staff and the many new fangled computers have as well.

Definitely too many games. But that was a lot of the squad as well. Barry held up well despite starting almost every game.

This really. I think its normal tbh that Barry would get tired in a season where he played so much. Rom got tired, Miralass too, osman alwYs has! Players ain't machines whatever there age!
As said Gibson should provide plenty of opurtunities for resting Barry. Sure Martinez will add another too Rodwell or Cleverley I'd imagine. Then there's the young ledson who will get some game time this season.
Great signing anyway.
Pleased with this signing even at 33 he has much to offer.

Anyone who watched Barry last season shouldnt be worried about his age in anyway.
The lad is a good pro, he keeps himself as fit as possible. His game is reading and anticipation, not running round like Robbie Savage just throwing himself everywhere.
Breaks up play, keeps it simple, keeps possession.
Im happy enough we signed him again but were still not even as strong as we were last season.
I wont start getting excited until weve signed players that make me think we can bridge that gap to 4th or beyond. ATM were weaker...but at least weve made a start in the right direction
