Glad Barry has signed permanently. Still think we need another player in the middle along with Barry, Gibson, McCarthy, maybe Lundstram and/or Ledson will break through. The thing about Barry he will help bring the youngsters on.

Think we will. Don't see the Rodwell/cleverly links being contingency for not getting Barry in. I'd imagine one of them or someone of a similar ilk will come in on a relatively low fee. As Martinez has said it's more about adding to the quantity than the quality this year. By by getting so close to the top 4 they showed what that can do we just lacked the chance to give them rests when needed.

Made up we have Barry as he was brilliant for us last season but for me offering a 33 year old a 3 year contract especially when he will be on a decent wage isn't good business for me. The maximum he should have been given should have been 2 years. People going on about Distin but the difference is we have just kept giving him a year contract now for the past few seasons now, not a 3 year contract.
