there was one interception in the second half when he seemed to see matrix style what the opposition where going to do, anyone see it?!
 

Agreed, he was excellent. Have to say though that even with that level of performance he's got others breathing down his neck and who could end up dislodging him some time over the course of the season, namely Gibson and Besic.
 

Was interesting to see him move into the left CB role when Coleman went off, good option to have and might be where he ends up when the physical demands of midfield are too much.

Agree although Barry did sub for Baines during the home derby. However last night Barry moved to centre half which needs a lot less running if you set your team up to accomodate it eg the way John Terry plays for Chelsea.

Distin is our only experienced left sided CB - Barry may prove useful backup there whilst we are waiting for Galloway to develop rather than playing Jags and Alcaraz in the role.
