Cupled with McCarthy you don't get enough creativity out of midfield if Barkley is not playing. I would go with a diamond of Gibson then McCarthy and Besic, then Barkey. Pace power, creativity and graft.

Yes Besic is going to get plenty of games and will do a good job, not sure about Gibson apart from being injury
prone ,don't think he is fast enough .

Belter of a pass on him though mate and fantastic vision.

Provided McCarthy and Besic are beside him (as with Barry) he would be fine.

Agree about his injury record though.
