May be the norm for "normal" non football lids as you say..but surely not footballers
Billy Kenny, Jose Baxter etc. The list of those who make it are far less than those who succumb to other temptations for young lads at that age.

Nah both were immensely talented but got into other stuff. Baxter turned it round to be fair.
I don't blame the other either as I'm sure scoring a goal for Everton at Goodison is nowhere near as good as the feeling of powerdrilling a bit of filth on a cocktail of beak and garys at that age.

Easy to say you wouldn't be tempted by the lifestyle if you haven't been in that situation.
Imagine being a big ball of teen hormones and working 10 hours a week with grands going in every month. There'd be more opportunity for parties, girls, expensive drinks, nice cars etc. than 99.9% of people experience at that age.
I imagine it'd be quite easy to go off the rails really, as much as we like to think we wouldn't.
