Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

They do know quite a lot mate when I've read it.

I can guarentee though Gerry will not come to us if we don't get Europa or cl

barcastuff is a great source for Barca related news, quotes etc. but they also post rumours from questionable sources...The one post on Deulo & Rafinha was from Madrid's paper, AS, for example - has to be taken with a grain of salt

Everton have just posted on Facebook a picture of him to win a signed scarf, and his training top has #9 on it...

Roberto on Deulofeu:

"I'm not thinking about that (extending his stay) now. What I am excited about is seeing Gerard's potential to develop and show his best in next five months.

"He is such a special footballer, one that anyone would enjoy watching, he's adjusted to life in the British game and understands what is needed - and he has done that quicker than we expected.

"We have an agreement (with Barcelona) over 10 months, it would be ridiculous to sit down now about the next step.

"We're all happy and will leave it until the end of the season and see where we are.

"If he does really well the chances of having him longer are slim."

The good thing from our point of view regardless what happens to Deulofeu now is that Barcelona will be happy to send any young kids to us in future as they know we play good football and RM will look after them.

He already is in a tiki taka environment mate.

Have you seen us play recently?

You've been doing some good passing and have been playing great football, but it's far from tiki taka. It's not a knock on you, our players are just raised to play that way.

Hahahaha. Were just not a pure species eh mate?

Its ok - if we were going to base our style on anyone it would be the Bayern Munich of last year. Now THAT was some football.

Put him in a Tiki-Taka environment and he will pass.

Have you seen Everton play this season? We love to pass, perhaps too much. Deulofeu has alot of talent but needs to learn that passing can be just as effective as knocking the ball past a man.

As good as Tiki Taka is at times, boring as hell to watch most of it. Bayern were superb to watch last season.

loads of my mates say the same about tiki taka but i love it myself. Mesmerising. For me Xavi is up there with the likes of Zidane and Ronaldinho as one of the best footballers of the last 10-15 years.

I think what you're doing is great, but you're just passing. Tiki-taka is not just passing in of itself. If our entire academy only trained players to pass the ball we wouldn't be known for having a specific footballing philosophy, since passing is part of even the most basic levels of the game. You can't claim to have Tiki-Taka if you don't have all your players at least form the triangles with their movements to make it possible.

Deulofeu does need to work on his passing, but I think that problem could be fixed with either squad. Staying another season would probably help it faster if you guys make it to Europe though.
