So? He clearly has talent and has clearly played enough games to use it. It's not difficult to look up and pass to a teammate. He's wasted his talent this year. He could have set up 10 goals easily.

Ask yourself , Could a see Deulofeu play in the Barcelona first team week after week ?.
The answer at the moment is a definite no. There was a reason Barcelona sent him on loan in the first place.It was not
because he had little flaws in his game ,it was because he had/has huge flaws in his game.
Superbly talented and has the ability to become a great player,but that is quite a bit off yet.

Compare his decision making and awareness with that of Barkley or Stones. They are miles ahead of him at this time.
I think another season at Everton is nailed on ...and I think in twelve months time if he continues to learn and progress
then you will have a serious player.

Excellent post mate and you have hit the nail on the head. Is he talented? Most certainly. Is his decision making good enough to be considered a starter consistently? No chance. Like you said, Barkley and Stones already have that nouse about them. Our Barca boy seems to be playing for himself and not for the good of the team. Nowt wrong with that when it comes off but when it doesn't he just looks like a spoilt little brat who is putting half arsed effort in. Pre injury he looked like he was getting to an excellent level of fitness and form I thought. Another year will do him the world of good and we will obviously benefit, but I've got a feeling he may be happy to sit on the bench for a year as long as he's back home at his preferred club.

I've not long turned 23. If I had that talent I'm certain I would've used it much better.

I've not long turned 20, and I can confirm that I spent most of my 19th year in this mortal realm playing video games, going to gigs, drinking with mates, getting absolutely nowhere with the female of the species, occasionally trying in uni and watching Everton.

So yeeah I could have been a bit more productive, and so could have Gerard. But it's completely understandable that we weren't though.

Theirs been no vacillation in regards to everyone's opinions of you on here though mate, since day 1 you've been pegged as a glory hunting whopper like.
