Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

100%...If Lucho is able to acquire a good #9 there has been speculation that he might go out on loan after the preseason...but it would more than likely be to another Primera side

The way you describe it, Barcelona have never brought along talent before

Gerard was the Segunda player of the year before he came to Everton at 18/19, there aren't 50 talents like him in Europe nevermind the Primera

No, not true...He's been recovered for several months now despite getting only one cameo performance...Ibi is a great talent who got a bit unlucky with injuries at the wrong time and never got a chance to find a place back in the rotation...Him & Cuenca would be great additions to any squad...Tello is rumoured to be considered for a loan rather than sale but that's still unconfirmed although that's what I would prefer as well

As good as Adama is, I don't see him being loaned out to Everton - I think he too will get 1st team chances with another Primera side as a possible destination on loan

Denis is likely to be loaned out since his contract has a clause that he is to be promoted to the first team this summer...Whether Everton would be a possible destination is hard to gauge when you consider how much Rafinha played at Celta and how little Deulofeu played...I think that will figure significantly into future loans

Except he's played Barcelona football since he was a child and been a massive success on every level for them...I suspect he will make an even bigger name for my club

He can, he has and he will continue to do so

You not started to support Athletico Madrid yet??

If Kennedy's name was Kenaldo we'd all be excited.

I dont think so, Im prettt sure Mikey "promote all youngsters to the first team" Fitzgerald is the only one who watches the youth teamsteams and has much to say about him.

Ive seen him a bit and couldnt see anything to make me think first team player but ya never know.

...the boy is clearly a talent that Barca might want to exploit. The manager brought McGeady in and we also have Mirallas. Deulefeu didn't start many premier games and was out injured for a fair spell, so its not as if we were particularly reliant on him. Would still have been good to see a bit more, but we watch his progress with interest.

Cuenca was a one-trick pony for me...how he will turn out Im not sure but I wouldnt be too keen on him.

You're obviously confusing him with someone else or never really watched him

Sergi Roberto, Id be very surprised if he was allowed to leave as I think with the patience and playing time Xavi and Iniesta got early in their careers he could be an important player. But obviously if he was sold and came to us Id be delighted.

I'd be surprised if Roberto stayed and seeing how well the loan of Rafinha panned out, Lucho is more likely to consider a Primera loan if he is simly going to warm the bench at Barcelona....The good however is that Enrique has worked with Roberto and will do what is best for the player & club while ensuring he gets a legitimate shot to develop and show his quality whether it's on loan or with the 1st team

The season ticket holder I live next door to calls him Luis Enrique like.

Paul Pogba is doing the rounds, do you think they'll attempt to change there style?

I think it will evolve into either a 3-4-3 or 4-2-3-1 like Pep first attempted to do towards the end....Cesc must go and Pogba would be the ideal replacement since Gündoğan is injured (with his future in doubt, IMHO)

Not what i've heard about Affelay.

A lovely example of your arrogant approach to posting. Keep it up, your popularity will soar.

I have been watching Barça for 20 years now and have been lucky enough to go to many games since I moved here three years ago including holding a season ticket this season. I have seen every game of Cuenca for Barça. although nothing of his time at Ajax. He also played previously for Sabadell just outside of Barcelona where most of my friends are from. From what I have seen of him, and what they have seen of him from his time with Sabadell, he is a pretty good example of a one-trick pony. A phrase my friends now love using for Tello also.

His time with the first team was when they were arguably he best team to have played this game, certainly the best I´ve seen in my years of watching football. It wasn´t hard to look okay and get chances and score. However, individually, what he does on the ball is not much more than a Stewart Downing or Kieran Richardson type winger. Twist in and out and put over a multitude of crosses to varying degrees of success. His passing was okay and his shooting no more than decent. A normal player with a career ahead of him at a decent level, but for me from watching him he doesn´t warrant first team opportunities at Everton and I wouldn´t be too interested in taking him.

However, he could prove me wrong. It´s possible to be wrong sometimes, you should reflect on that in between passing your day on various football forums to show people how much you know about Barça.

You´d get laughed at by most fans here with the way you go on to be honest.

This post was much more polite than what I was thinking, out of respect for our fine forum and its rules ;)

All culés know him as Lucho not unlike how Guardiola was always Pep rather than Josep, Leo for Messi or Tito for Francesc Vilanova

Nonsense, I don´t know anybody who calls Messi by his first name, and although Tito was the most common name used for the sadly departed Vilanova people call Pep by his surname at least as much as they do just Pep and I rarely hear the nickname Lucho, its almost always Luis Enrique.

You are talking through your armpit.
