Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

There is definitely more risk with Deulofeu
true but in our current situation at the club I think risks need to be taken, spending 28m on Rom was a risk as well but we can all agree it was a move that needed to be done. I think signing Deulofeu and Lennon would be a good balance for the squad but signing Lennon over/instead of Del would be a mistake for me. Yeah he had a decent season and worked hard for the team which should earn him a move but he's hardly going to be a player to take us to the next level (i know you need some flash and some substance to balance) but he's getting close to 30 and still lacks any end product. if its 8m for del and 8m for lennon i'd pick Del everytime even if it's more of a risk as there's more of an award as well. Lennon is what he is at this point

We are buying players as assets, not ambitious marquee footballers though. Sadly.

Really ? If you're two wingers are Gerri and Lennon, full backs have to sit further back because of their pace. Yes their final back is lacking at times but you can't take either of them lightly.
Was meaning the combo of McGeady and Lennon - think the combo of Lennon/Deulofeu would be great as they provide different things but both have a lot of pace. McGeady tbf has a decent turn of pace himself but for the money we'd need to buy Lennon don't think he is that much of an upgrade to McGeady.

Deulofeu, 19/20 in a new league and despite having a bad hamstring injury midseason just as he hit peak form got 3 goals and 4 assists in 900mins of league football

Lennon 27/28 having played in the league his entire life with no injury 2 gaols 1 assist in 1071 mins according to transfer market.
