In his interview last night Martinez praised Gerard for all the things that Emery said he lacked.

Wonder how much of the improvement is because of Martinez's different management technique (more carrot, less stick), Gerard's own maturity or Emery's tough love ensuring the message got across. Combination of all three probably.
