Thought his final ball was not up to standard last night, one of the commentators mentioned that he was getting too close to his marker and I have to agree. He won't produce the goods every game and he scares the hell out of defenders, but there's lots more to come from him. Oh and my gran can take a better corner.

His assist stats are amongst the highest and that is what will always keep him in the team. If he can offer a couple of chances in a match then its a successful job done. We cannot look at his unsuccessful attempts as they will always outnumber the successful ones. He is a creator and is currently one of the best in the league so we shouldn't listen to commentators or the supporters next to you saying that he should have done this or that. Its the same with strikers....they will not score from every chance. It seems like football nowadays is dissected so much that mistakes are looked at more than the good moments. Every goal a rich club scores against a less rich club is a great goal but if the so called poorer club scores against the so called better club then they are usually called bad goals to concede. They will always find a reason to why they conceded that goal but will always look at the so called great play if they score. That is the PL for you now.

Deulofeu dives mate, Hazzard or Fabregas either felt contact or anticipated it. Similarly McCarthy cynically tried to injure Payet, Gerrard was showing his commitment and will to win when he went in two footed.

Was never going to be too easy for him last night as his full back Souare has probably been in Palace's top 3 players this season.

Still did some quality things and that was absolute sex in the first half when he took the mick out of like 4 players surrounding him on the right.

He's quite the petulant one, isnt he? Was getting really irate in the 2nd half. Thought some of them were legit fouls, thought others were not but he was screaming quite a bit. Its not always going to go your way. Especially if people are thinking you have a poor temperament and are started to be labelled a diver..

Thought the criticism of him on NBC was a bit OTT tho. Was saying he was playing quite poorly. Did not think that myself, thought he was playing better than OK but not necessarily good.
