It was a disgrace how Martinez left the supplier out of the team. For me, he'd be the first name on the teamsheet and then build from there. He's so dangerous and exciting to watch. Hopefully our new manager will be big on fitness and whips Geri in to shape so he can be dangerous for full games next season.
Yeah when Emery comes in, he will sort Geri right out... oh wait.

I remember after that performance against Boro in the league cup quarter final he was in sensational form, had ridiculous amount of assists and was looking like a world beater, we were worried Barca were going to call him back.
Then he just stopped getting played because Lennon came in and put in some good performances and his season went spectacularly downhill from there.

He needs to be one of the focal point of the team with minimum defending its the only way to harness his attributes. A decently coached defence and a sweeper from central midfielder should give more licence. Special player.

He has a ton of talent but is maddeningly inconsistent and his fitness is awful.

I wouldn't; his crosses are too lethal to be mis-used behind the striker. Play him out wide on the wing, with a left winger/Mirallas on the field too, and get Barkley trained properly and fit to play in the number 10 position behind Lukaku or whoever our new striker may be. We know those four, together, are as good as anything else in the league when on form. Fitness has been a massive concern, but mostly it's been the defending. Probably cost us 20 points last season.
I'd play him on the wing but I'd actually let him play crosses into the box, as opposed to doing loads of passing in the middle of the park while he and the centre forward stand there with thumbs up their arses

keep him wide, get in a manager that wont bench him attempting to proves hes done good business on the transfer market, and make the pretty boy run all pre season until he can play 30+ games a season. lennon has done well, but del is a special kid, lennon has had his chance
