....would be one of the first names on the team sheet for me because he gives us creativity and balance nobody else does. Links well and takes much of the weight off Barkley because he provides an out ball and was on a par with the best in the league for assists until he was benched for a large part of the season.

Was noticeable that Lukaku began to wobble when GD was dropped.

No good to us till he can last a full game. It's basically starting the game with only 2 tactical subs available.

Needs to build his fitness base to another level. But I agree. First choice on the right.

Appears to be loving it at Everton. Hope the new Manager rates him.

...absolutely. He always gets his head up and tries to feed Lukaku early. Remember when Lukaku first came and folk complained that we didn't have a player capable of matching his runs and putting him in, well GD did that and a whole lot more. Busy players often flatter, you need to have quality on the pitch to consistently win football matches.

...I'm not so sure about this. Lots of folk make the point he can't finish games so I might be wrong. He might give the impression he's flagging but I still see him going past full backs and scoring goals in the last 20mins.

You can't have seen many of his last games then he's usually blowing out of his arse after like 60 minutes. Really confusing for a player his age but new manager, new fitness coach, let's see. If he can complete 90 mins week in week out then he's nailed on at RM.

....you might be right, all I'm saying is the impression somebody is flagging doesn't mean they don't have plenty in their legs.

......you might well be right, I suppose only those who monitor him in training (bleep tests etc) can quantify his stamina and levels of fitness. It would be interesting to know how he compares with others.

All we (people who watch Everton regularly) know is for some reason his fitness levels are shocking for a lad of his age and needs fixing before he's a permanent starter. He's brilliant but he's a waste of a substitution every single game. He certainly loves Everton so he's not slacking on purpose someone just needs to change his training regimen.

Should be on the right every game he's fit. Always plays the early ball and his crosses are so hard to defend. I think he's ready to come of age.
Less work with the ball in preseason and more on strength and conditioning and we should be seeing consistent performances from him and the rest.
