World class potential, not a chance, nothing I've seen of him here or in Spain would suggest that

Good player to have against poor sides as he has the pace to make them panic at the back

Against the bigger teams he goes missing for large chunks of the games and his decision making is outrageously bad

Looks to me the lad's game has progressed. More aware of the opponents around him.more work rate and covered his full back well. I thought the lad was our only high point yesterday.

Less than 500 mins of playing time this season yet has 5 assists and a goal to his name and that isn't even counting the work he did to create the United goal.

Gerry usually ends up having 2 men put on him, I like the way he is trying to adapt by playing a little early ball between the pair of defenders into the front post area.

Perhaps world class is an overstatement, I was just playing Devil's advocate. But I still think he could be a top notch player in a few years time. Is he flawed? Absolutely. But bang average he is not. The impact he has when he has been on the pitch for us this season has been palpable. Maybe that is just the result of lack of playmakers elsewhere on the pitch, but I for one hope he is a Blue for many years to come and think we got a steal of a deal.
