It's time to look to the future imo.

A few teams this year have taken a glut of younger, up-and-coming players and have been pretty successful. England need to do the same. There is definately been a lot of deadwood floating around the past couple of tournament squads and they need to be axed now. I personally wouldn't take James, Ferdinand, Terry, Lampard, Gerrard, Barry, and Heskey among others to any other major tournaments - their time is up.

We need to increase our focus on developing the younger English players and stop resting our hopes on a bunch of overpaid, overrated cowboys who will never get motivated enough in an England shirt. Simple as that.

Germans have better pride,courage,passion,commitment,young blood,spirit. They don't rely on 3 or 4 players for like 10 years.

Time for drastic changes in english football. Upson(good for you you got the goal but you're [Poor language removed]) played his last game for me,so did heskey. It looked obvious to me that england won't play well when I saw Carragher(2 games,[Poor language removed]..[Poor language removed]!),King(1 game),Heskey...no agbonlahor in there in the first place

Come on, it was for sure important, but overall skills for modern football and right tactical approach was much more important.

There is no England CB who can pass and there is no deep lying playmaker who can pass too. English players only know 1 tempo of the game, 100 mph tempo. Etc...

Martin O'Neill . His teams are struggling to control things in EPL, he will get murdered playing on level like this.

I think you've failed to see the fact had Lampard's effort had stood England without a doubt would've played the more cautious approach. If that wasn't the case, JT and the rest of the defense would not have been caught flapping 70 yards up the pitch leaving the midfield to fill in.

I'm sure you will, but it gonna need lots of hard work and unpopular decisions. The Premiership is the biggest league in the world, but I also feel it's killing your national team. The only way for you guys to restore the pride of the three lions, is by improving the youth academies. Hope you succeed in that, because as I said, think it's a shame to see England in such a state. A county with a tradition like yours, simply deserves better.

Baines & Jags would have been so much better. Something is totally off center on this ripped apart defense. Slow, heavy and out of shape. England will have to have a total makeover. Look at the youngsters.
