Getting old

Lucky you, I've been a crap sleeper since I had my kids. I walk about 15 to 20 thousand steps a day to tire me out but that don't work. I can drop off about 11 but between 2 and 3 I wake for loo and then I'm awake till around 5 and then hopefully drop off for an hour
Not for me. I do a lot of running and try to get 8 1/2 - 9 hours in bed to ensure I recover . But getting up for a pee has increased with this cold weather, I know this has been well covered before on here, usually I get back to sleep ok.

Getting old can work to your advantage. At Palace now, if you ask for a bottled drink they remove the cap and refuse to give it to you. So, if you want to drink it later, you either have to hold it all the time or put it under your seat and kick it over. It’s worse if you buy food or additional drinks because you get to your seat via the crowded concourse you spill half of it down yourself. So to remedy this I act up like a crazy old man, ranting and raving against all the vicissitudes of life until the 11 year old behind the counter begs the 14 year old manager to just give it to me. Works every time.

Mine are barely more than glass 1.25 … but the difference they make is amazing
My wife has just started wearing them for reading, computer etc. Like yours very low prescription, but the difference was huge as if they were some instrument of black magic. She was astounded by it - my reply was 'what did you expect, that's what they are there for'. I've worn them for decades and not a low prescription either 🤓

Just seen this (ironically), I too have recently started wearing glasses for reading/phone/computer at work. I was finding it more difficult focusing on reading emails so visited my opticians, he was really good and instead of milking me for ££££’s he told me to go Home bargain and buy a cheap pair of readers as my prescription wasn’t too bad, I paid £1.49 for the most game changing bit of kit of my life so far 😂😂 I can read everything now clearly…. Only downside seems to be that my sight seems to be getting worse without glasses the more I use them… it’s like putting kryptonite on superman’s eyes
Haha, got my 1.5’s a few months ago, game changer. Not seen that clearly since the early 90’s. Was becoming a pain as I read a lot and never off the computer. Best buy that where free too, my sister caught me squinting whilst trying to read the back of jar of food…

That’s what sparked me into getting checked out really…. I was finding it more difficult reading the back of packets….. now I can count the dots on a fleas bowtie from 60 yards away

cod liver oil gels. Which brand is best for strength and value? Also, some repeat like crazy on the stomach.

Does anyone else have a regimen of over the counter supplements to keep old age a little further away?
I use turmeric, ashwagandah, maca root, omega 3 fish oil, glocosamine and chondroiton, korean ginseng and sometimes lion's mane mushy. I also have a collagen drink but not daily.

How rubbish is it?

Spent all day yesterday doing jobs around the house, picking up kids toys mainly! Now my back is actual broken.

Also ive noticed that my sentence forming is getting worse, missing complete words off sentences, adding words that dont belong, just general derpisms that I never made in my younger days. I aint even gonna talk about the penis things.

Lets have a good old moan about getting old.

Young uns, pipe down.
I’ve started having the same speech pattern as Mayor Joe Quimby from the Simpsons.

“I, err, I, think err,”

Just to buy time because I’ve started speaking and between starting the sentence and noise coming from the front of my head, I’ve forgotten what I was going to say.

That'll keep you regular for sure if anything else. I used to get all the potions out and to be honest simple vitamin drink does it. Cut the fags out years ago cut back on the booze and I've knocked caffeine on the head. I feel great to be honest, must be all the water.
