That tournament deserved a play off

Brutal way to end it for Clark

Scheffler is incredible though. I think he wins more than 1 major this year
Incredible final round from Scheffler. Not his biggest fan, but hats off to him for pulling that form out when it mattered. Was rooting for Clark all day and that final putt was agonising.

I agree, Scheffler will win lots this year and reckon he takes the Masters and US Open. (Even though I desperately, as most probably do, want Rory to take the Masters).

Rory really struggling with his game atm but he'll do what he always does, work through the problem until it's fixed.

Dropping bogeys left right and centre but still good enough to finish in the top 10/15 just due to the amount of birdies he creates for himself. He needs another major though, just for his own sanity so I'm hoping he gets his game together in the next 3 weeks.

He made 26 birdies and only came 19th.

The good stuff is still really good but the bad stuff is incredibly bad. Kind of the Rory rollercoaster. Course with a lot of water like Sawgrass do tend to really punish his poor shots.

I really want Rory to get the slam at Augusta but the pressure is just huge now. Phil never managed it and he had a ton of opportunities for a US open.

….don’t forget the annual Grand National/Masters double. Managed to get the place bit up last year.

Thrown a couple of early darts on Galvin with Matt Fitzpatrick @ 1,057-1 and with Si Woo Kim @ 2,225-1 but the sensible play is leave it a week or so when more favourable place terms are on offer. Galvin needs the ground to dry, so I’ll be doing another horse selection after 5 day decs.

It's just incredibly difficult to do. Hard enough to win four majors, period. Now have them distribute themselves more or less evenly? There's a reason only five golfers have done it.

Masters week - can’t wait!
Just had a little e.w dabble on Ludvig Aberg, apparently played the course a few years ago as a “student” and knocked it round in three under par! Currently 25-1!
If Scheffler putts well he won’t be far away!
Big question is can Rory get his Green Jacket finally, or will a LIV golfer turn up and beat them all?

IIRC Zoeller did it as a first-timer with an Augusta caddie back when players had that option, and described himself as a blind man led around the course by a seeing-eye dog. I think it would be nigh impossible for today's players to replicate the feat over four rounds. There's just too much local knowledge where the greens do not behave the way they appear.

Should be a fun one, with the course drying out. Much harder to go low when they have to hit approaches more like a links course, less wind. It puts a premium on shotmaking and longer putts, which is arguably a better test of golf.

I’ve gone for Max Homa, Brooks and Cam Young.

Looking forward to watching it this year. I’ve had a few golf lessons so I can watch it with the missus telling her how “I can do that” whenever someone hits a good shot.

It’s ok, she’ll never see me play so will be none the wiser.

Done four players. All each way.

Corey Conners 55/1 (12 places)
Will Zalatoris 20/1 (12)
Max Homa 35/1 (10)
Tommy Fleetwood 25/1 (10)

Wonder if you wait until Sunday and then bet on Rory's final round score. You know he will probably sputter along and be well out of contention, then go out Sunday 3 hours ahead of the leaders and shoot 65.

Xander Schauffele is the one whose numbers stack up nicely. This season and at Augusta. No wins since 2022 which is a little off putting, no pun intended, but I think at 30 years of age his turn for a first Major has arrived. Priced between 16 to 18/1.
