The winner probably finishes today at least a couple strokes under par. Birdies will get hard to come by once the greens firm up, so the guys who went out earlier have a big edge.
Bryson's playing a blinder, but I think some of the big names who started well will also score a bit on the back. Hovland, Rahm and Scheffler are all guys you don't want generating roars in the group in front of you on Sunday.

He didn't play his way out of it on day one, and looked looser than I've seen him at Augusta in a while. It's a step in the right direction.

Yo Martin hope you are well today.
Yep, he wasn't spectacular but he stuck at it and limited his mistakes. That's a big step for him for the 1st round.
He'll need a round though where he's making the easy 6-8ft Putts and if he can do that, come Saturday he'll be in with a shout.
Some great golf getting played, Max Homa with a beautiful front 9, 3 birdies, 6 pars.
