In what respect though ? He’s a scouser so he has an accent , he’s an Evertonian so that’s the club he respects every time he fights , he doesn’t live in London he lives relatively locally with his family and not to long ago you’d see him at home and away games with the rest of us . It’s not like he’s cilla or Tarby living in London waxing lyrically about a great city in a ridiculous accent . I’ve also never seen him be anything else but brilliant to any fan who approached him .

in the sense that he generally speaks well when hes interviewed normally then when hes in a build up to a fight he amps it up.

If you’re talking about the rhetoric He’s selling a fight , look at his Ppv figures for the Haye fight they were ridiculous for what was effectively a nothing fight because you have two fighters who sell a fight brilliantly . They did more than brook/GGG , and AJ/Martin and AJ/Whyte . That’s actually insane when you look at it and as much as anything it’s because tony Amps up it up .

If you’re talking about his accent ? Then I’d say he’s probably had elocution to allow him to do commentary and comment on fights and he speaks in a slow and deliberate manner so some bloke in Kent doesn’t ring sky to complain . Even if he hasn’t he certainly speaks in a deliberate manner to make him be understand , when he’s his own man in fight prep that’ll be the last thing on his mind and he’ll talk the way he talks when he’s in normal life . The blokes a scouser so that’s his accent .

i have no problem with the scouse accent just the fact he picks and chooses how scouse he is at certain times, its a minor annoyance. ive come accross people like that all my life

Like I said I’d suggest it’s because he’s doing colour commentary or simply commentating , the rest of it is how he speaks . I think it’s like when you speak a foreign language , speak to someone from overseas or even speak to somebody from out of town your delivery changes . When I was away from home for a bit with non scousers my accent mellowed a little because you slow down the way to speak so they can understand you , when you’re with a load of scousers it flows a lot faster .

I think people can accuse bellew of a lot but faking his accent is a new one on me if I’m honest .

tbf his mad views on twitter is more the reasons i dont like him, his john bishopness in interviews is more a minor annoyance

stuff like Tyson being his hero but he wants all rapists hung from lamposts just make me think hes a bit of a div

The whole boxing heroes and stuff is something I could and have discussed at length before, it’s full of contractions . If you’re looking for wholesome clean living characters in boxing you’ll generally be there a while .
 
Whats the bloke hes fighting like? Isnt bellew the holder of the main 2 belts now so surely he should be favourite?

Not a boxing fan but Bellew gets my support.

This is true this, I live in the South east now, and when I speak to people down here my missus said my accent seems to tone down, but when I go back home and speak to family or mates she said she needs a translator because she doesn't have a clue what we're saying.
