As @The Esk says.

STCC is more of an issue due to the historic sluggish performance of commercial revenues (non broadcast) of the club under Kenwright.

It means our rapid expansion is relative to some clubs put under more pressure due to wage limitations of the squad collectively.

So we have to look at strategy to get around this. The worry is we won't be able to increase commercial revenues fast enough.


FFP is less of an issue to Everton due to the TV deal and or our relatively low interest payments (cost) plus it does not place any restrictions on infrastructure (stadium spending) from outside sources of finance. FFP means that we are somewhat limited by our overall revenue (note TV deal) in what we can spend on player transfers plus some debt write off.

Of the two. STCC is more restrictive on Everton. Due to historic issues.

So Everton have to look at some changes to the business and or sports model (DOF appointed: turnover of players as revenue stream) to address it whilst ensuring trying to boost commercial revenues
