I think we need to celebrate our teethy steward who clipped the wings of the protester at goodison with a new statue. His determination and focus in the face of adversity was suitably admirable.

I think that’s defeatist, Joey.

I don’t want us to erase all trace of our footballing existence in Walton.

You clean paint, you repair statues. You don’t let that lot dictate where in the city we can leave our well-earned mark.
We are now owned by multi-billionaires they need to be moved ... end of ....

What is happening with the memorial stones on the wall at GP? I've got one for my arl fella on there and I don't think anything has been said about them.

Cheaper to move them mate .....

People have had their ashes or part of spread I think at the site of both statues in L4, particularly the Dixie one - while there are also memorial plaques for Blues lost.

For me the compromise is just commissioning new statues for BMD.

Be loath not to leave something lasting in L4 in addition to the above.

The Dixie state is only there since the early 00’s the HT one just a few years - I don’t think they’ve had the longevity to be iconic that replicas can’t be made.

If I’m honest, I want the statues at both sites.

Daft to move them, we can just commision more for BMD, not just a case of only having them in one place. Very much a case of us being able to have our cake and eat it.

Even if Goodison was to be flattened, they would be a permanent reminder in history long after we're all gone about Everton, and would be well looked after with EitC & many blues in the area. With Goodison likely staying now in some form for the Womens team, even more reason to keep them.

Completely removing them, just abandons one more patch of the city to the RS and erases abit of our history
