I'm very lazy to do my research online but would rather listen to someone from here who has actually used the product before.

What do you mean ' when you stop using it '.

I've also heard that Creatine could cause weight gain..... not muscle weight gain at that. Any info on this and the effects it could have. I'm very very interested in trying this product. I've been in the process of gaining muscle mass since last October and ive made wonderful progress. I know people are going to say ' Just continue what you're doing ' but i'm always looking for different and better ideas, supplements to aid etc

Creatine is something which is already created by the human body, when you take Creatine as a supplement you're supplementing (duh) that naturally produced amount to improve muscle regeneration and muscle growth. A lot of people recommend that you take Creatine for a certain number of weeks, typically between 4-8, and then take a week off. The reason why you do this is that it's commonly accepted that if you take Creatine for long periods the body will stop producing it and the benefits of you supplementing will be nullified.

You will gain weight as a result of taking creatine, some of it will be water weight as Creatine increases water retention. However if you're looking to gain muscle you will generally put on excess weight during the bulking process anyway, so i wouldn't worry about that side effect.
 
Why would you use creation unless your into serious weight training and fully understand what it will do to you.
You need to load up on it (stack) in order to have sufficient levels of it.

Better off to spend money on good food, a proper training programme from a S&C coach and recovery protein.

There's no reason why you can't spend money on good food and protein supplements as well as Creatine, as it's one of the cheapest and most proven fitness supplements on the market. Creatine monohydrate is a fantastic product for the price, don't buy into these 'branded' versions, get yourself some basic Creatine monohydrate from somewhere like MyProtein.com.

A 1kg bag from them will cost you about £12, and will provide about 100 days worth.

I tried using it when I was young (and daft). Why not go the whole hog and get some human growth hormone or steroids? It'll make you look ace down the beach like ;)
 
As in, I'd prefer to add natural muscle.

Creatine built muscles also suffer from more injuries and cramps due to the excess strains put on them, when training very hard

It's not just water weight though. It increases your power and ability to lift heavier weights, so you have a greater hormonal response (ie muscle fibre recruitment) as a result.

Its difficult to know where to draw the line when it comes to supplements, isn't it? Would you take a GU gel pack outside of exercise? Yet this is such common practice amongst anyone who does sports that nobody thinks about it. what's the difference between an energy gel, an electrolyte tablet, and creatine or whey protein supplements? The users just have different goals.

I wouldn't.

The body has a finite amount of something called ATP. The ATP is constantly reformed to produce the chemical reaction needed to provide energy. Depending on the type of exercise you perform the body will reform ATP using different systems. That's where the terms aerobic and anaerobic come from. I.e with or without oxygen.

The availability of the creatine to reform atp (Adenosine tri-phosphate) is a massive factor in the performance of high exertion/explosive exercise. Along with diet, rest, routine and lifestyle it will play a factor in what gains you make, muscle, or otherwise. If you have a lot of creatine available you will lift harder, heavier and perform better. This means you build more strength, muscle, power etc.

It does increase the amount of water the body holds but a significant amount of that is intra cellular water. This also aids performance and recovery.

If you don't see how something that aids performance and recovery works for you then I can't say anything else on that. It's just one more factor you can use to get a few % more than you already are.

In all honesty why not? If they're from a reputable source? Before anyone says anything lets remember Tesco where selling people Ukrainian donkeys recently.

A person who exercises regularly and doesn't go to excess with steroids will in the main be much healthier and look better than someone who doesn't.
