I've also heard that Creatine could cause weight gain..... not muscle weight gain at that. Any info on this and the effects it could have. I'm very very interested in trying this product. I've been in the process of gaining muscle mass since last October and ive made wonderful progress. I know people are going to say ' Just continue what you're doing ' but i'm always looking for different and better ideas, supplements to aid etc
Creatine is something which is already created by the human body, when you take Creatine as a supplement you're supplementing (duh) that naturally produced amount to improve muscle regeneration and muscle growth. A lot of people recommend that you take Creatine for a certain number of weeks, typically between 4-8, and then take a week off. The reason why you do this is that it's commonly accepted that if you take Creatine for long periods the body will stop producing it and the benefits of you supplementing will be nullified.
You will gain weight as a result of taking creatine, some of it will be water weight as Creatine increases water retention. However if you're looking to gain muscle you will generally put on excess weight during the bulking process anyway, so i wouldn't worry about that side effect.
