Cheers mate, so just continue what i've been doing then.Without sending you all round the houses Creatine, protein and some very simple carbs (Dextrose) after a workout is a very potent combo for improving performance and recovery! The amounts needed will vary based on your size but roughly 3g Creatine, 25g Whey & 60-70g Dextrose will have a positive effect on you.
The amount of Carbs after a workout is the trickiest one to get right.

No idea if it's correct and probably well risky if you're lifting heavy stuff, but I found having a loose grip helped a lot with this. Like resting the bar on your hands rather than properly gripping it. MADDISON HELLO/
I don't properly grip the bar anyway, rest the bar on the tips of my fingers and the fronts of my delt.
