What have you been doing? I'm trying to drop 35 through exercise alone, but that may be difficult. Not much progress yet on the weight, but I feel better.

Well I'm a distributor for a company called It Works, and we have these "wraps" that tighten, tone and firm any area, and promotes fat loss through lipolysis by detoxing your skin and the fat cells below. I do that regularly. It really does work. I lose an inch or two around my belly almost everytime, although there is less to lose now than there was. I also started doing some fitness classes at a gym, but now I just walk about an hour and 40 minutes most days (I live right next to a huge urban park with a running/walking trail) and that burns about 700 calories and works my legs. And then I do the "perfect pushup" routine. I bought it off an infomercial beards ago, but just started doing it for real about a month ago. That works my chest, arms and shoulders. I also take supplements from It Works, and do the protein shake and stuff.

Nothing insane, just wrapping, supplements, consistent moderate cardio, and some pushups.

Nice. I've been walking some, trying to get strong enough again to run, but nowhere near 1:40, that's great.

I put my headphones on, listen to tunes and it's very relaxing to walk the park. Nice eye candy too along the way. It really relaxes me. I'm addicted to it now. I'd rather do that than do a fitness class tbh although a room full of women in yoga pants has it's advantages.

I find it very enjoyable as well, but rarely have gone for more than an hour. I formerly ran quite a bit, but I've added some weight and have Gibson's frame so I'm trying to be careful and avoid serious injury.

Dropped the majority of carbs from my diet, it's been a revelation. I feel more alert, i've lost body fat, and i don't get hungry like i did when i was eating tons of grains.

Insane that the standard advice is still a high carb, low fat diet when the modern research suggests the opposite is optimal for good health.

I've pretty much had the whole of July off from the gym and fitness and eating right and its been great, but now i wanted to get back into shape.

So i signed up for the Spartan Beast race in October. Anyone ever done one of these?

I find this really hard to do, especially for lunch (normally wraps/sarnies). Any tips? I'm training for a marathon at the moment so not worrying about carb intake too much (burning at least 3 days worth of calories each week), but once I've done it I don't want to get back to feeling bloated/sluggish.

I struggled with this as well. Rice paper is a good alternative. Use it as a wrap, relatively healthy carbs compared to your traditional tortillas. I eat a lot of precooked eggs with a variety of meats and veggies, bake them and they last a few days in the fridge. Bacon is good as a snack, fry it till crispy and bag it up.

Lunch is definitely the hardest part if you're working.
