I find this really hard to do, especially for lunch (normally wraps/sarnies). Any tips? I'm training for a marathon at the moment so not worrying about carb intake too much (burning at least 3 days worth of calories each week), but once I've done it I don't want to get back to feeling bloated/sluggish.

I do a poached egg or a hard boiled egg for breakfast. I also like to mix up brown rice, great northern beans, some sauce and mixed cheese, and maybe a little tuna and make a lot of it and eat off that for a few days. Great protein, very little carbs. Very filling.

I would say this...if you're going to "diet", the best thing you can do is eliminate sugar. Google the "sugarbusters" diet. Dropped 20 pounds several years ago just by paying attention to how much sugar content was in the food I was eating. You would be surprised. For instance white pasta sauce is higher in fat but lower in sugar than most red pasta sauces. So it's better for you. Little stuff like that. It makes a difference and it cuts your carb intake, especially the carbs you don't want, by a lot. Think of trying to heat your house by putting a bunch of newspaper in your fireplace or a log. The newspaper is going to burn quickly and die out and you need to keep replacing it constantly. The log is going to burn slow. That's the difference between a carb like sugar or a carb like multi-grain bread.

Stopped going the gym now. Cba with it any more proper boring. Hard to keep up. Plus I'd rather have a Dominos than have some oats.

Take up a new sport instead of going to the gym.

The gym is pretty boring if you haven't got a goal to be working towards.

The best thing to cut is booze. Sugar can at least have some functional purpose (other then getting drunk). Booze is just waste calories.

Weighed in yesterday morning at 78.2kg, this morning at 76.9kg. Is that normal to fluctuate like that or are my scales dodgy?
