Been in agony with my knee for the last 4 weeks, dr has diagnosed it as a torn meniscus in my left knee. Idiotic decision on my behalf during squatting; I knew my feet weren't in position properly but instead of reracking I continued....then went on to do a set of 300kg leg presses which made my initial dumb decision even more dumb.

Apparently the docs cannot refer you for a scan anymore, I've been referred to a physio who will determine the if I need a scan. I'll be having surgery this time next year by the looks of it.

Had a really good Maratona this year, knocking 7 minutes off my best time. Very happy with that. Did nearly 500km that week, so had an easy week or so, but slowly getting back up to speed for the Ride London later this month.
Have you done Ride London before Bruce? Sounds like a bit of a zoo - head down to get out in front of the masses I reckon.

Had a fantastic Maratona, but since then things have been absolutely awful. Legs have felt terrible, to the extent I'm a bit worried about the Ride London on Sunday. Would normally think its quite straightforward, but I'm struggling to do 20 minutes on the turbo at the moment. Been really stressed with various things this summer and I think it's caught up with me a bit.

Had a week off this week but normally do high-intensity stuff before weights every morning before work at my local Pure. A good app for this is Sworkit btw. You can do a strong 25 minutes of pure body weight stuff (burpees, press ups, squat jumps etc - 30 seconds on, 5 off) and be completely knackered. For me, it's one of the best ways to work out because it's quick, good for the ticker, and burns more calories than running for an hour or whatever. Mix it with a decent weight program and try and be good on the food (no snickers in the week) and you'll be alright.

Finished Tough Mudder, i only trained to be able to run 5k non stop but because of weekly HIIT (5 aside) too, it ended up being fairly comfortable. Very good fun, will do one again (but will be swerving electroshock therapy next time).

Weighed in at 102kg tonight, anyone done one of those white collar boxing things and seen good results? (Not if you win, more to motivate a lazy fat slob that loves ale and beak)

Does anybody do slimming world on here? I'm looking to carry on and increase gym work but diet has always been my issue.
