Seeing as you’re in Cumbria, find a nice scenic hill / fell.

One mile slow warm up jog beforehand, then ten one minute sprints up the hill / walk down.

Repeat ten times and warm down with a slow one mile jog on the way home.

Much better than doing HIT in the gym ;)

I’d normally agree however we’re just awaiting wintery weather so I’ll pass! Warm gym with a bike and lots of women in tight gym leggings.

This too @Nymzee - really worked for me in getting the fitness up quickly

It hurts likes hell for the first month, but it’s a great way of exercising if you’re pushed for time too.

I'm really enjoying my interval in the gym atm, just nice to mix it up.

I prefer doing the hill runs up the side of an old castle just near mine, but it's a no go at this time of year as I'd be sliding all over the place. When I go on my runs I always incorporate hill sprints but just not to the intensity that I do when I'm up there.

I do two sessions a week, to compliment my general running.

At the end of each month I add another sprint on, rinse and repeat.

My aim is to hit twenty, I’m up to 15 sprints each session now.

I hated it start with, but really enjoy it now !

Done them all previously but they're on the list again! Figure I may as well enjoy losing some chunk with nice views and Instagram likes.

Staying out by Buttermere ( Kirkstile Inn ) at the beginning of June for 3 nights, with the aim of doing a few that I’ve never done before - got a list of some real gooduns.

Really looking forward to it ;)

gunna start this when weathers abit better...

So sprint for a whole minute? Then walk back to start of sprint.. 10x

That’s it, plus a really slow mile jog to warm up and another slow mile after to warm down.

Each minute up is around a a tenth of a mile.

It’ll hurt like hell to start with, but
as you get fitter you can tag more sprints on.

Didn't know everton was playing today, so I forced myself to go out on the trail and do 17mi. Usually these long runs are a slog, especially the last 4-5 miles however it was snowing kinda heavily toward the end, and the whole trail was covered nicely in about 1/4in of snow. I had one of those commune w/ nature/life is good moments.
