It's a daft way we view things really. On the one hand it's quite alright for middle men the world over to buy a mass produced product for a pound and sell it on for a tenner, but we view dimly a forum creator making a living, or when a school sells on a biro it spent 9p on for 10p it's a shocker!

Some forums are run for profit, but they tend to be ones which have been bought by companies who do that for a living and so have economies of scale.

To put it simply, for the time and effort that the likes of Danny put into this place, even if it was run for profit, the hourly rate he'd be getting would be pretty poor, and his time would be better spent on his day job.

Plus, if @GrandOldTeam was turning a profit on GOT then @the esk would be submitting the invoices for his time, and we can't afford him.
 
Will sign up (and been planning too for a while, just saving for a wedding atm) to become a supporter as soon as I can.
I often spend most of my working day on here so it's worth it to help keep this place going.

Won't take a GOT mug into work though...don't want any nosey bastards seeing the logo on a mug and my screen and realising how little I sometimes do.
Can mods see how much time someone spends on here? Name and shame the biggest users into donating lollol
 
Why don't we do similar to the charity ads the dd of £2 a month? Nobody tends to miss that and should donations exceed costs it be donated to Everton in the Community or Former Players foundation?

That's just downright dumb. I live 2 blocks from Wrigley Field. Baseball has been ace in Chicago, mate. And baseball has nothing to do with GOT or Ebepton.

Your latest post is just as dumb as your first that got this whole thing rolling. Kick the sheep out of your yard and relax. While you're relaxing, you can also take off your self adorned King of GOT crown.

@Elong is a good one mate...he just is baiting you as an American. You can easily do the same in the Rugby World Cup thread in the Alehouse. Don't tell Longy I told ya...
