Know him personally. Rest assured that he’s one of us. Despite his position, he’s hating this as much as every one of us is. Can’t spill the beans for obvious reasons. He is no one’s lapdog. The truth will one day happen.
All I can say is that I truly hope that’s true and I obviously have no reason to
Doubt you .

I’ve so much to thank him for over the years so I can only hope nothing ever changes that .

The truth will have to come out to rescue his hero status otherwise the current stench will remove him from Goodison folklore for good.

Agreed. Comes across as the worst type of Alan Partridge ’needless to say I had the last laugh’ in that book.
Alan Partridge but with a drinking problem "He didn't fit in as on pre-season tours he wanted to visit Pearl Harbour and the Great Wall of China, rather than get pissed all night in the hotel bar....we knew then the championship winning team was breaking up" .

You're literally talking out of your backside mad. You have no idea what gets said in the boardroom, what Sharp's role entails or what he gets paid.

As a kid he was a hero. Of course he's not perfect. Nobody is. Your life must be pretty harsh to carry around such opinions.

Give your head a wobble, have a cup of tea and a kit kat and treat yourself to a nice bath with plenty of radox. Sleep tight and tomorrow the world will feel better.
Charlie my life is fine thanks, I know Sharp has been a puppet of Kenwright’s for a long time and he will only say what Kenwright tells him to say, he will offer nothing to benefit Everton FC, if you like him fair enough,I think you must go around with your eyes closed and your ears shut seeing as we are into personal attacks, Charlie Sweet- nice name there Charlie - don’t think it reflects your nature but have a nice day!!

He is occupying a sort of fan on the board role. How on earth are people turning on him.

The managerial choices are Moshiri, the DoF appointment is Moshiri. He is not to blame, but may be part of the solution.
The board have turned this in to a game of us versus them. By staying away as a member of the board it could be viewed as choosing his side.

Him staying away is my main issue , the board staying away coupled with the statement was a calculated step to marginalise the protest by demonising a fanbase and I’m uncomfortable with anyone facilitating that , whoever they are .

Great post.

Everything is symptomatic of modern day society when we want instant results and need to blame anyone when we don't get it.

the whole club is broken. and I can't see how it can be fixed (in the short term).
I don't think anyone wants instant results. I think most Evertonians just want to see a plan, a logical progression to develop the club and get it back to where it belongs.

When we had Moyes we had little money but we could see that he had a way of taking the team upwards with what little he had. I believe the majority of fans were happy with that. He didn't get hounded out, or sacked. He eventually left of his own volition. No one begrudged him his move.

While Moyes was here we waited years for someone to come in and invest and when they eventually did what happened? They just spunked it up the wall with no plan or logic whatsoever.

I don't believe Evertonians want instant results (yes we literally do right now but that's a bit different) - but we would give anything for someone with a little bit of nouse, and a plan.

Instant results ? We haven’t won a trophy since 1995 , the current manager hasn’t won since the start of October ,we’ve lost four consecutive home games for the first time since the 50’s, we’re 20 days into a transfer window and we haven’t made a signing and the club haven’t issued a statement for nearly a week. If anything we seek the exact opposite of immediate or instant .

Seems another board member not communicating. He will be silent because they think whatever he says, fans will say 'he was told to say that'.

I wish he could say look I have seen the plans, this club is moving forward and I am part of it. We are not getting relegated while I am a board member.

He will remain silent. Seems a waste of his talents.

Even if he said I’m here protecting your interests , I’m one of you . I’ll be going to West Ham , I don’t feel unsafe . Anything like that would be great .

I do appreciate it’d be difficult for him

There are so many options that could have be taken. They could have said on the day of the protests.

Graeme Sharp will be representing the board at the Southampton match and will invite e mails from the protest organisers. Which he will answer in the programme of the next home game.

He made his bed last Saturday when the board decided to go to war with the fans, if he'd have stood down then fair enough, his reputation would have stayed in tact.

He was afforded a 'Legend' status for his performances on the pitch in the past, I've zero sympathy for him now as he's decided to throw that away for a few pieces of silver.

Added a bit to your good post mate! Hope you don’t mind!!
