Wish this could all be resolved. I didn’t idolise him as a kid, but certainly saw him score many great and important goals. Still got a few copies of his autograph on 2 balls and a 10p mix bag.

Joined the board supposedly as someone who breathed the club, so everyone hoped would provide a fans perspective. No doubt at all the flack he got will have hurt (whether you think it deserved or not). But he’s clearly very prickly about how the fans treated him, rather than how the club treated the fans. When anyone talks about trying to do what’s best for club, that HAS to start with the fans, especially when they are being paid.

It’s a shame but doesn’t look like there’s going to be resolution. Fed up hearing about it now he has had his say. Crack on.

I agree with this
But Sharp should be welcomed back now

Cant hold grudges forever
I actually cant remember what was said.
I think its more what he didnt say and what he should have said really. He did say that the supporters marching/protests was "one man and his dog." I dont remember him not sitting in his spec next to denise and bill after this. He obviously didnt feel threatened and the fanbase may not have agreed with his little put down but that was that. He's a bit of a nob but thats not going to get in the way of how he was/is regarded by the fanbase. Its what happened on the day of the southampton match where the supporters realised who's side he was on. The subsequent lies and mudslinging at the fanbase after that day is what ive got a problem with. I think you couldnt get much lower than what was said and re printed by certain friendly journalists after that day. All lies like. **** him.

A 64 year old man haha. Change your undies and buy a ticket soft hole

He doesn't need to buy a ticket, says he has ticket(s):

“I have not been back, not that the football club has invited me back. Numerous people and my friends have invited me to go with them, and I still have season tickets, but I don’t see myself going back.”

This is the most disgraceful part of it all, he's blocking other people getting a ST and touting his tickets to pay for his panda snacks. :hayee:

That was years before that mate the “one man and his dog “ remark , think he was doing the match coverage for the radio at the time

Was with a group of Everton fans at a euro away Olomouc in cz. Walked onto a terrace restaurant and there was Sharp, I think Ratcliffe and didnt recognise couple others. We all waved said hello they completely blanked us. Would rather have met Billy Kenny.
Had a similar experience when we went to Scunthorpe in the FA Cup 3rd round 2011/11, was in a restaurant/bar near the ground with two mates when GS and KR came in. We politely said 'hello fellas' and were blanked which disappointed/surprised me as GS knew who I was as my youngest worked alongside him at Goodison.

We need to talk about an Everton legend.

Do we need to talk about the fans?

Ha ha. Boo hoo. Graham took a giant salary to be part of the group that took this great club to the brink of oblivion and then the fans said mean things about him on the internet. Wah wah wah. He can cry himself to sleep on his pillow stuffed with £50 notes. Deserves all the stick he gets.

I remember him as a radio pundit on the Legends show with Alan Kennedy, Micky Thomas and Gary Owen in the early 2’000s.

He was a bell end.

Remember him having a go at Evertonians who were calling in to talk about the state of affairs when Rooney was sold and proving he was 100% up Kenwright’s backside.

Also remember him arguing for the club after they put that embarrassing bid in for Alan Smith when he’d already agreed to join Man U.
There should be a "stooge" option in the poll.
