I remember him as a radio pundit on the Legends show with Alan Kennedy, Micky Thomas and Gary Owen in the early 2’000s.

He was a bell end.

Remember him having a go at Evertonians who were calling in to talk about the state of affairs when Rooney was sold and proving he was 100% up Kenwright’s backside.

Also remember him arguing for the club after they put that embarrassing bid in for Alan Smith when he’d already agreed to join Man U.

Yeah Century FM wasn’t it?

Mickey Thomas was alright. It was dreadful overall tho and you’re right Sharp came across poorly, arrogant and aggressive.

I’m conflicted on lots of levels , I loved him then felt really let down angry even and I’ve been very happy to express that anger . I mellowed a lot for a few reasons but this media campaign particularly some of the language used looks poorly advised .

Personally, because he’s my hero and actually because despite what’s written I genuinely think he’s devastated at things (which doesn’t exclude him of responsibility) I’ll happily put my more recent feelings behind me and have no issues in seeing him return . However I’ve no right to tell anyone they’re wrong because it’s about opinions and they’re all valid .

I personally wish things had been different but my memories , of 80’s Everton at least , remain strong and it’s hard to shake that adoration . I’d be delighted for him to realise he’s not blameless in this which he seems to avoid facing but if he in fact is then tell us .

Regardless of circumstances It’s a horrible situation for a him but also for many of my generation to see our hero seems to have feet of clay.

His son Chris used to play in my team when we were 17 on the Wirral. No idea what became of him but he wasn't anything special at all - definitely not one of our best players. Anyway Sharp would never interact with any of the other parents, he'd stand behind the goal every time as far away from anybody else as possible. Really strange.
I know he was in the Welsh league for a bit then I’m not certain but I think shuttled about various levels of non-league

Make no mistake. The fans of this club pulled it out of the mire and saved it from relegation on two separate occasions. For 3 years they have been the only positive thing about this club. To throw them under the bus to defend your mate who is systematically ruining said club because he is paying you a wage and giving you cushy benefits is disgraceful behaviour. In my opinion he should be on his knees grovelling, begging for our forgiveness. Instead he still plays the victim, “oh, how horribly I was treated. Oh the pain of it all”. Feel free to stay away sir. We’ll be right here waiting for that apology when you find your testicles.

Anyone who ever listened to him on the Radio City phone-in after the game knew he was an ignorant, arrogant knob & stooge way before the worst Chairman in the clubs history gave him a job
Probably how he got the club job, he was always so disagreeable and argumentative against any caller, and wouldn’t have a bad word said about the shabite we were watching.
