Just wondering what an apology needs to look like.

'sorry for taking a lucrative job and supporting my boss' ?

I expect if he disappeared off the radar for a year we'd have a whole new set of people to be grumpy with.

If you perpetuate a lie about a fan base who adore you , a lie that has such an impact much of the media still report it as fact , then it doesn’t seem unreasonable to think something would help .

I’m no Pr expert but a much better written statement than the below would surely help , wouldn’t it ?

“i’m so sorry about the whole situation , I thought I could help but ultimately I was wrong . I trusted people I shouldn’t have trusted and all this was the result . I can only assure you I was there will the best intentions . I’ll always be a blue and given the chance again of course I’d do things differently “
