Graeme Sharp was wrong to allow himself to be associated with the Board we had at that time. They tried to use him to curry favour with the fan base. I have no doubt he thought he could do something to influence the powerbrokers but he was misguided. He should have walked away when he realised he was being used, but he didn’t. He has now decided to double down on his position.
Footballers aren’t noted for their intelligence, Graeme has made mistakes. A club which promotes EITC whereby some people who have made mistakes in their lives are provided with the means to have a second chance cannot deny one of their own with the chance to come home.

His son Chris used to play in my team when we were 17 on the Wirral. No idea what became of him but he wasn't anything special at all - definitely not one of our best players. Anyway Sharp would never interact with any of the other parents, he'd stand behind the goal every time as far away from anybody else as possible. Really strange.
He’s always known that fans are dangerous mate

Everybody makes mistakes in life things that seem right at the time, but come back to bite you on the backside.
It would be a shame his legacy would be forever sullied by a few misguided desicions and actions.
We all deserve a second chance.

It’s not on us as fans tho is it mate? It’s up to him to make the decision.

If you read what he had said over the last couple of years there is no accountability there in regards to the board. He doesn’t acknowledge any mistakes or poor decisions, there is no reflection and if you look at the state of the club it doesn’t weigh up to what he is trying to put across.

His mates on the board earning millions yet it’s on the lad and ladies earning a few hundred quid a week in regular jobs to take accountability for what transpired in a multi million pound business. I’m sorry it’s not on.

What are the people at the club being paid for if things go to crap it’s the fans complaining about it are the problem?

And yeah he was a great player for us, brilliant, it should not give him a pass to not call him out on what he says or his actions.

If people want to welcome him back , each to their own, it’s not up to me who does what.

There is something been off about this club for years, it reeks of it and for all the bleating about how much they love the club, some of these legends said F all when the club was in the mire because it’s a big clique and self serving. They refuse to say anything because it either jeopardises relations with the club or/and their mates.

I’m not having a go at you btw, sorry if it comes across like that, just fed up of it all.
