Find it bizarre that none of them have come out afterwards to clear things up or clarify what "happened".

Was all very cloak and dagger against the fanbase with sound bites and "leaked" information of death threats and headlocks
None disclosure clauses, attached to their very lucrative pay offs maybe ? Bill Kenwright has used these tactics frequently in the past. Would not be surprised at all if that were the case.

Club legend. He was wrong for what he did though. An apology to the fans and its water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned.

Think that’s what most would be happy with mate, but he just can’t bring himself to do it.

Kenwrights gone, so he’s got no interests, vested or financial with tying himself to the ex board. So it can be only his own pride.

Must be massively embarrassing for him, i get it. His legacy at the club has been tarnished but it wouldn't be forever if he swallowed his pride and said what happened was wrong.

Had this argument with my dad yesterday over a few beers. Sharpy was a hero of his and he can't stand to see him staying away, and probably rightly, says he had zero influence over anything at the club. He still his a voice and could/should have either tried to stop the nonsense before Soton or walked away from his position imo though. It's why blues of a younger age just see him as a stooge for the soon to be gone regime.

It would be incredibly sad if he didn't get a proper farewell in the old lady, however.

Still a legend and will always be that. He made a mistake should never have taken a position under the current regime. Does not change his status at the club for me, we all make mistakes in life. A statement from him would make a world of difference.

Sharp is a club legend as a player, but a total traitor in the boardroom and beyond that.
Yeah probably this really.

Says the club haven’t invited him back and in the same breath says he’s declined Sean Dyche’s offers to come back. Don’t get that myself.

Met him once and found him to be a miserable get. Very disappointed but maybe I caught him on a bad day.

Ian Snodin on the other hand, I met at the same time and he was a total joy to be around.

Was with a group of Everton fans at a euro away Olomouc in cz. Walked onto a terrace restaurant and there was Sharp, I think Ratcliffe and didnt recognise couple others. We all waved said hello they completely blanked us. Would rather have met Billy Kenny.

My brother said similar when he hosted an after dinner do with Ian Botham at Ashton Gate. I think the saying is 'don't meet your heroes'.

Put your hand in your pocket and buy a ticket like the rest of the supporters do. If not you can go shopping with your missus on a saturday and go and spend your severence deal. Got paid a lot of money to protect his master and got boxed off too all while we were selling players and buying nobody. Then was involved in throwing the supporters under the bus. ****.

He doesn’t think he or the Board did anything wrong so he’ll never apologise. He just comes across like a sulky teenager in that article. Everyone else is wrong and we are all too stupid to not see how great the Board were. It’s really sad. I loved him as a kid, I was at Anfield for “that goal” but he’s just too stubborn or embarrassed by his actions to even bend the slightest bit. It’s his loss. He can sit at home whilst his teammates go to Goodison for the last time. It doesn’t sound like he’s that bothered anyway. He’s the one missing out. Really sad and disappointing, to be honest, but I couldn’t care less if he comes back or not now.

His behaviour in all this has been an embarrassment. He's a self-entitled arrogant knobhead who takes himself far to seriously. All he had to do was just say nowt but no, he had to play the victim card and act all hurt and betrayed because he can't get over being called out for his disgraceful behaviour. All I've taken from his latest little hissyfit is that he's so selfish that he's cool with having a season ticket (one that almost certainly doesn't pay for) and refuses to use it. He's just taking away someone elses opportunity to go the match who'd love that seat. Nah sod off Sharpy. If all this nonsense is enough to make him stop going the match then I for once hope he never sets football in Goodison or the new place again.
