I don’t think he’s helped his cause with his comments in that interview. He’s continuing to fuel the idea that he’s not safe in visiting Goodison. The whole narrative put round by the board at that time was totally unhelpful to the team and the wider reputation of the club. It was all about portraying Kenwright, Baxendale, Moshiri and Sharp as victims. This was not the case. Their stewardship of the club nearly lead us to extinction. Sharp chose his side, he could have resigned his position and called for change, he instead backed the board.
He’s welcome to come to games now. He’s not going to be headlocked, or attacked, but doing an interview moaning about now being welcomed back just continues the wharped narrative.
