Anybody under 45 either never saw him play or was too young to appreciate him anyway.

So there's only fans in an age range of about 30 years that will have actual fond memories of him, and the older end of those fans most of them likely stopped going to the game years ago.

Graeme Sharp is not relevant to Everton any more, and since his antics no longer important to the fans that suffered under the Kenwright regime, which he firmly supported.

“One man and his dog”.
Wasn't just that anybody that listened to him on the radio over the years would know he wouldn't have any criticism of the board/Bill and was arrogant about it as well.
Loved him as a player but long a go lost any interested in his pro Bill stance.
Not remotely bothered if he wants to go back the game.
It was a very volatile time he stepped down, headlock marches ect.
It's a different time now, suspect most could give a toss about him being there or not.
He is acting like a jilted ex bitter and dramatic, let him stew in it we have moved on.

Then just tell us what really went on behind the scenes? simple as that really. You can start by explaining why there was a smear campaign to frame fans for putting Denise in a headlock

I read the Scotsman article , thanks, before voting “ Wrong”. His whole attitude seems to be summed up by his words “ I’m not really bothered now” . Fair enough, if that’s how you feel stay away from our club and fade into obscurity, remembered by only a few . In the events he spoke of he was either a PAID ambassador/ non- exec director for our club. If he can’t be arsed turning up for a final Goodison hurrah then he won’t be missed, true legends like Big Nev will be there.

He was before my time so while I respect his legacy. I don't respect him laughing at fans like myself who strive for the Everton of old when. Where the Everton I grew up with and have known has been 99% doom and gloom. One man and his dog comment is always one that sticks out. I imagine some of the stuff that happened on the board he can't talk about with it being non disclosure. However to atleast acknowledge some of the comments he said in the past would of been nice and come across being more sincere. Big Nev wanted the best was critical of the board which is why he was not welcome or invited to Goodison by them.

….Sharp the player and Sharp the Administrator are two different entities for me. Loved the player but he’s forever tarnished being a Kenwright stooge and blaming the fanbase for their own disastrous tenure.
I agree with your latter point, and I hope if he had his time again, he would have behaved differently. As much as he tarnished his reputation, he scored THAT goal at the pit, and provided countless great moments, for which I'll be eternally grateful. With, hopefully, a new era about to begin for this great club, it would be nice to think wounds could be healed to some extent.

“One man and his dog”.
Think that was sharp and Darren Griffiths laughing at people protesting over kenwright.
An absolute legend as a player but totally complicit in the yes men culture and the dumbing down of any ambition.would not have any problem with him attending functions and celebrations as he was such a pivotal figure during the 80s
