Boss wasn't it? Wasn't expecting him to play itI was there at Villa Park, it was great when he did 'The River'
I’ve heard there’s another soul album due out, then possibly a tour next year, David Sancious has said he will be with him, so likely completely different show, no E-Street bandIt was my third time on Friday - Incredible as always
I do think this tour is his farewell though
Some crackers in there - I saw Kacey at the Philharmonic a few years ago - Thankfully still a little bit country at that pointSpringsteen at Wembley arena 1981 ( first time I saw him)
Peter Gabriel 1977 at the Empire (@Barnfred 55 )
The Jam at the Royal Court , can’t remember the year but it marked the end of the March for Jobs.
Billy Bragg in the courtyard of The Flying Pickett 1986
More “recently”
Paul Buchanan plays the songs of The Blue Nile , The Phil.
John Martyn playing the whole of One World , The Phil.
Kacey Musgraves at The Sage , Gateshead when she was still country.
Dr.John at the King Biscuit blues festival, Arkansas 2010 ( first time at that festival)
Moreland and Arbuckle , Cazorla Blues festival , Andalusia (first time at that festival).
Owen aka Mike Kinsella from American Football in a South American themed cafe/bar in Camden Town , I never thought I’d get to see him live
American Football at Gorilla in Manchester, again I never thought I’d see them.
Ryan Adams at The Barbican London 2011 and again at Manchester Opera House this year.
To answer the second question
Prefab Sprout and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
I saw Wishbone Ash around the same time but I'm sure it was The Empire. Wasn't really a fan, bit before my time. We went to see a local band called Supercharge who were supporting them and they were great.Wishbone Ash were good at the Royal Court back in the late 70’s
Fleetwood Mac at Maine Rd, about 87 I think
Paul Simon, the Graceland tour at the NEC
but Springsteen at Murrayfield tops everything - and we met the band, pic of Mrs L with Stevie van Zandt below! Already posted in another thread but still buzzin’
got Blur coming up at Wembley, then Red Hot Chili Peppers at Hampden Park in July, so looking forward to them.View attachment 214555
I went to that as well , I was a bit bevvied though going straight from the match !. I saw her at the Country-2-Country festival in Dublin 2016 with Chris Stapleton bottom of the bill and Eric Church headlining , I was surprised how good he was. Some crackers in there - I saw Kacey at the Philharmonic a few years ago - Thankfully still a little bit country at that point
Supercharge were great that night, Albie Donnelly’s antics were quite an education to my 16 yr old selfI saw Wishbone Ash around the same time but I'm sure it was The Empire. Didn't really know much if WA stuff but they played Blowin Free in the encore which was brilliant in fairness. I had the album Argos that I bought for 50p in Probe but never played it as it jumped more than Jive Bunny.
Yes, its a beautiful song, I liked the 'on the nightshift' cover aswell.Boss wasn't it? Wasn't expecting him to play it
When he came out at the end to do 'I'll See You in my Dreams' it was probably the most emotional i've been at a gig - That song helped me a lot just after my dad passed away in 2020
Supercharges she moved the dishes first is one of the funniest songs I have ever heard.Supercharge were great that night, Albie Donnelly’s antics were quite an education to my 16 yr old self
You’re probably right, the Empire, so long ago! Saw them again at New Brighton pavilion about 2001 I think, like a cabaret band!I saw Wishbone Ash around the same time but I'm sure it was The Empire.
