Yeah ‘94 a high watermark for music before Britpop took over.
I’ve just realised Elvis Costello played and I don’t think I paid any attention… :O Am finally going to see him in October

Hawkwind at the stadium was my first gig too, the days when I had long luscious locks, aaahh memories

That's a pretty eclectic weekend of music.Love gig threads.
This happened on a weekend in 81/82. I saw Stray Cats at The Locarno, (see above) on Friday, Don Mclean at Bristol Hipprodome (sic), on Saturday, and Motorhead at The Colston Hall on the Sunday.
Like, I cant even think of an equivalent weekend these days.
I was still at a school that had strict rules on hair length. Oh how I wished for long hair in my early teens.Hawkwind at the stadium was my first gig too, the days when I had long luscious locks, aaahh memories
great gig at the NEC.Would have loved to see The Police in 81!!
The 12 times I saw Elliott Smith are at the top of the list obviously, but Bowie and Nick Cave at Glastonbury were right up there.
Also Radiohead in 97 was a special thing. Saw them again a few years later supported by Clinic (who were always brilliant) and it was great to see the obvious influence those Crosby weirdos had on Radiohead
So , so envious you've seen Miles.Frank Zappa 1988
Miles Davis 1988 (I think)
REM 1983
The Fall 1986
Sonic Youth 1987
Sun Ra 1986
The Buzzcocks 1986
The Residents 1991
