Yeah ‘94 a high watermark for music before Britpop took over.

I’ve just realised Elvis Costello played and I don’t think I paid any attention… :O Am finally going to see him in October

The 12 times I saw Elliott Smith are at the top of the list obviously, but Bowie and Nick Cave at Glastonbury were right up there.

Also Radiohead in 97 was a special thing. Saw them again a few years later supported by Clinic (who were always brilliant) and it was great to see the obvious influence those Crosby weirdos had on Radiohead

I saw Elliott Smith at his last Irish show in a tiny venue Red Box in Dublin. Was working at HMV and got on guest list last minute, I only really knew Figure 8 and I regret not paying proper attention. I got some abuse from some guy because I wasn’t really reacting to the music, I could see he had a real obsessive following but I only really got it years later… :(

Radiohead have never disappointed

Frank Zappa 1988
Miles Davis 1988 (I think)
REM 1983
The Fall 1986
Sonic Youth 1987
Sun Ra 1986
The Buzzcocks 1986
The Residents 1991
So , so envious you've seen Miles.

However that wasn't a classic Miles phase for me. I have every recording of his from 1956 to 1964 - up to ESP and the 2 concerts I would have loved to have gone to were the Black Hawk 1961 and Lincoln Centre 1964 - both a bit tricky coz I was only 1 and 4 at the time lol
