In a world of overrated, overpaid "stars", these moments prove who the truly great are. Last night, that was Kevin De Bruyne. I thought he was trying too hard for a while in the first game and start of yesterday's, but he really came to the fore when the need was greatest.
Any player at this level can look good when surrounded by superstars at club level. But international football provides a different challenge, emotionally and resource-wise, to the star player. It's also a great differentiator. It separates the men from the boys.
