Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

City were the only club in the world to have a "profit" on their books during the pandemic, it was obvious none of it was genuine.

Saying that, it'll probably be at most a points deduction this season like Juve got this year for cooking their books recently. Can hardly strip titles for anything other than paying off referees (like Juve were caught for in the early-mid 2000s)

It deffo looks iffy, but some bloke on the radio, who, I assume knows his stuff, said that selling Gallagher and another yoof for about £60m would show them in profit.

Yeah, me neither.
They will have to write off the value of these 600 odd million of signings over the next number of years. Thats an awful lot of expense going through their p&l account. You would think they will need to sell players at some point to offset some of the amortisation.

I imagine all these signings are on very high wages as well. I expect them to sell a few players in the next couple of years or their spending to really reduce, or both.

Just did some reading on the City charges. There is an awful lot to it. This could take a long long time to sort out.
City's lawyers I'd imagine are as good as you can get, but it looks like the Premier League has had 4 years worth of investigation. They've probably got some bulletproof evidence to hit City with.

They won't have anything taken off them, apart from a huge amount of points and a slap on the wrists financially which will be pocket money to them.
unseeded CL grouping.
restricted home attendance.
temp ban on signing under 15's.
suspended fine for 12 months.

You know, the hard stuff, the painful stuff, that'll live with them for decades...

Let's see how City destroy that concept.
A set of rules that gives no right of appeal is grounds to appeal anyway as that will not be seen as compliant with the law.

This will play out with City found guilty, a harsh punishment, and then City finding a legal route via CAS or general court to get it overturned.

Same as the uefa case, rinse and repeat. And hopefully finally the death of financial 'fair' play once and for all.

If Serie A managed to punish Juve, legendary institution of Italian/European football, for relatively trivial stuff in comparison, then Premier League should follow suit.

15 years ago they even kicked them to Serie C, City should go to League 2
No they didn't, they got relegated one division to Serie B for buying off referees.

Far worse from a competitive standpoint as I imagine you are already aware.

CAS isn't applicable for this case.
