Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

I think he might find it hard to get this City squad playing the expansive possession football he wants as the squad is far worse than what he had at Barcelona and Bayern. Plus I think the gap between City and the other sides is smaller than it was for his previous teams. He will either have to compromise in his way of playing (which I doubt he will as he seems like a purist of football like Cruyff) or suffer some tough games.

He had 2 seasons vs Mourinho in Spain and they both shared a title each. Considering that was his home turf (and his squad was settled by 2 years when Mou arrived in Spain) and England is more Mourinho's preferred league I think he might be at a disadvantage. Plus Mourinho isn't really someone who cares about beautiful expansive football and will just want his team to win by any means necessary which is probably easier to implement quickly. Also City and Guardiola have CL football to deal with while Mourinho will be focusing only on the league

Both Manchester clubs will be spending over £150m this summer I imagine so it will depend on who does the better transfer business I guess. As a United fan I am confident we will finish above City next season with Mourinho here but a lot of my points above could just be wishful thinking. It will be a great season for sure!

Looks like Arteta has joined up with him. That's a shame. Thought he'd stay on but suppose the writing was on the wall once Tony Adams joined up with Henry to be part of the Academy staff and with Bould going nowhere and Ljungberg with the u16s there wasn't a position available.

Good luck to him in City, think he'll make a good coach. Classy goodbye letter from him.

Pep is a fine manager but it will be interesting seeing how he performs without the likes of Messi, Iniesta, Neur, Lewandowski and co.

If Conte gets Chelsea to give 110% like he did with Italy, then I can see Chelsea winning the league. I also think Mourinho will play a massive part.
Such a shame we couldn't convince Simeone to join us, imagine Simeone, Conte, Mourinho and Guardiola sharing a dugout lol

Chelsea favourites for me.
