Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

I'd have won the Spanish league with his Barcelona side. Same with his Bayern side.

Don't think he'll win the league this season as, unlike Spain or Germany, there are actually more than two clubs that could win the league here.
It wasn't just winning the league with Barça. It was them steamrolling very good sides. They scored 5 goals or more against the likes of Madrid, Atletico, Sevilla and Valencia.

It would be interesting if both City and United under perform next season.

Not too difficult to imagine it happening either.

I hope man utd have a few more seasons in the wilderness, let's see how they do without all those multi billion sponsor deals and when half of asia isn't walking round in their clobber
the fume from their under 30 fans will be something you could store in oaken casks for thirty years and then sell

I dunno how well you'd have done in the Spanish league with his Bayern side mate
just something about them doesn't scream 'la liga champions'

He does mixes it up tbh, really depends on the players I guess (I somehow can't imagine kompany next to stones for some reason though)

I think he might also be a bit more grounded this time around, if anyone has read his biography which mostly covers his time at Barca, he is like some protangst anime character that can move mountains and on a quest for purist perfection lol

Can't wait for Man city v sunderland/stoke/westbrom lol

Taking on the City fans here over them booing the CL anthem and not selling out the Etihad
Booing the CL anthem is childish but in the grand scheme of things it's pretty irrelevant. The not selling out part is a different kettle of fish.

You can rightfully mention the postponement as an aspect, but from all accounts it's a bigger issue as they've struggled to sell out before.

Then there's league games where masses of empty seats are visible to everyone to see; for all their success they are still suffering to gain fans.

They are the only PL side to advertise tickets on national radio.

Makes me smile.

I don't see why booing the CL anthem is even a talking point worth reporting in the newspapers.

So City fans booed a preposteroue anthem.....big deal :pint2:

Regarding the attendances, it mystifies me because in their bad days they always attracted huge crowds.

You would have thought they would have been lined up round the block to watch a successful City side.

Though in a way it is to the credit of the City fans......they haven't been infected with the glory hunting beauts their neighbours go out of their way to attract.

I actually think he's going to be successful

He's going to be given loads of money to spend, so he'll just keep spending it until he gets the players who can get it done for him

That goalie will become a problem I think..

It won't take teams long to shut down the passing from the back. Question is, will they be able to take advantage of the space created by high pressing when their goalie is arsing round..
