Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

Never proved himself at a smaller club, he’s just done a tour of some of the richest teams in the world, who already have a team full of superstars when he walks into the changing room.

At least Jose did a lot with little at Porto.

I’d like to see Pep manage Stoke or West Brom and see how he goes on.
He got Barca b promoted. Who knows what he would’ve done with them if Barca didn’t pick him up after one year

I was always in the camp that questioned Pep and heralded this as an important question, but I'm now starting to relax my perspective of him.

His Citeh have been scintillating this season, only dropping points against ourselves, and scoring on average over three goals per game in the PL.

Add to that conceding only two in that time! City already had a dressing room of expensive assets, but he's arguably made them utterly ruthless.

Yes he's had money to do so, however arguably so did all the Citeh managers before him. It's only early in the season, yet they look very good.

So yes he's always inherited a team with great players and wealth, although perhaps he's given those opportunities because of his own talent?

One glaring omission this summer was his lack of attention to the CB situation.
It may seem harsh but I think Kompany is finished at the top level.
His fitness issues means he can’t string a run of games together.
Stones is still learning and Otamendi and Mangala are not up to scratch.
He’s a stones injury away from a defensive crisis.
someone tell him Williams is available

His main plus in contrast to other top-class coachs is that he can control dressing room and all players accept his authority unlike Emery in PSG for instance. İn City he dropped big names like Hart and Benched Toure and Aguero. Most people think that it easier to manage small clubs than big ones but Mourinho's failure at 2015-16, recent Ancelotti failure in dressing room, Moyes, Martino and several other cases prove that Elite class management in football is hardest. That is why influental people like Sheikh Mansour or Honess/Rummenige wanted Pep in charge not Sean Dyche.

I was worried about the centre back situation. Relying on Kompany was a huge gamble and I have never rated Otamemdi. He is too rash and too quick to go to ground. It's fine if it comes off, looks great in the highlights, but if it doesn't he's left on the floor and the attacker is away for a one v one with the keeper, or he's given away a free kick in a dangerous area.
Watching us this season though and I can see why Pep was more relaxed about the defence. We start defending at the front and often win the ball back high up the pitch. We defend as a team and limit the opposition to very few chances. We did the same last year, but the big difference this year is having a keeper who can actually save a shot. Last season Bravo let in almost every shot on goal.
The new fullbacks made a difference, but the biggest difference is Ederson and having a keeper who the defence have confidence in.
Even if Stones gets injured, I honestly don't think it will be as big a defensive crisis as you think.

Otamendi is diabolical in fairness, Stones looks good this year, his stats are excellent
