Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

Don't know what the consensus is on here about Guardiola but it's making me giggle some of the pro-Guardiola toldyaso brigade resurfacing after this recent good run as if they haven't spend a billion pounds on being able to dominate the league.

Mate. Pep is the best manager of all time, okay?

Etihad,Arabnet,Etisalat,Abu Dhabi Tourism,Aabar is more like 90% of your commercial revenues and around 60-70% of your entire turnover, your matchday revenue is skewed on the fact those 1000's of empty seats we see at your ground on tv are bought by your owners and classed as sold to boost your matchday revenue to improve your FFP standing.

Your Nike deal is only 13 million pound a year when bigger clubs have deals 5 to 10 times bigger per year showing outside of your owners you're not really a big draw outside Abu dhabi for commercial deals as your club for standing is mid tier.

To say your entire turnover is only 13% from abu dhabi is simply laughable, you and PSG are state funded with owner linked companies that have added about 300 million to both your turnovers, both of your clubs are still for worldwide fanbases no where near the big clubs but somehow both your turnovers are bigger than established clubs except bayern United barca and real madrid.

I am expecting your abu dhabi tourism board commercial deal to be on par with PSG's qatar tourism board which is 100 million Euroes a year (it was originally 200 million euros but UEFA halved it).
The Tourism Authority deal is worth less than £1m. http://www.fcbusiness.co.uk/news/ar...sorship+deal+with+abu+dhabi+tourism+authority

Hahaha....Erm okay.

This is a club who created another clearance house to improve the wages to turnover ratio by diverting a % of players wages to get past FFP after they got fined 3 seasons ago,Ferran Soriano who cooked the books at Barca is also doing the same at City it seems, the income from 2011 was £197 million and last seasons to £392 million, the next results will be closer to £500 million.City fans try to claim it's been done organically without the owners input but that is far from the case, adding 8k seats and an increase of tv at 60 million a year does not give a big jump like that.

No way is that deal for 300K a year when PSG's is 100 million euros a year.

Looks like a spun story in that link with a low figure and the actual deal is "undisclosed" that comes closer or above PSG's deal with Qatar tourist authority.

Tbf there has obviously been huge injections of cash by city's owners and the results are plain to see. It's moved quickly towards a sustainable model though as I'm sure that the owners don't want to keep hemorrhaging cash forever, and may even wish to see a return on the investment! If there is anything murky in the city finances recently then it's probably a shrewd or cynical (depending upon your point of view) response to the 'modifications' made to ffp when it looked like city were going to comply.

LOL all the top managers spend billions. Why is only Pep not allowed to?

I wouldn’t mind going to city v Napoli tbh but it looks like it’s sold out . Only to get to see Napoli live as this team is a joy to watch . Though city will have too much for them.

Maybe you're right, maybe it is all fake and it really is impossible for a club that has qualified for the CL the past seven seasons in a row (only English club to do so in that period) to grow it's commercial revenue by legitimate means. I'm only giving my opinion based on the info that's publicly available. I'd never claim it's been done organically only that the owners have done exactly what they said they'd do in 2008, a heavy investment phase leading to eventual self-sustainability. If it is in fact all a sham and they're still pumping hundreds of millions in to the club by nefarious means (and making massive losses) then they seem to be doing a pretty good job of stage managing the process. Although if they truly are buying up all the unsold tickets maybe they should be paying people to go to the games as well, what's a few more quid in the loss column? lol:pint2:

Some people just want to believe we are the same club we were before the takeover. The buying up unsold tickets scenario is up there with fake moon landings and the royal family being descended from space lizards.

I don't think anyone claims it's been done organically, but now City are at or near the top they don't need to fiddle the books. PSG is different. Ligue 1 has nowhere near the profile or marketability of the Premier League.

Nearly blew £60m on Alexis Sanchez though. What a waste of money that would have been and it would have possibly upset everything - no Sterling or Sane.

He's allowed to but I can't have some people talking as if he's some Messiah when he's spent a billion pounds conquering a bang average Premier League.
If he builds another barcelona in 2 transfer windows then that's cheap in today's terms. He's basically rebuilt the attack and defence in two windows.

Too soon to say yet whether it will last because this time last season it looked very similar
