I don't think too many criticisms were invalid last year to be fair. He definitely underwhemed. But he wasn't the only one and was in a team filled with gravy and cloggers.
I do feel guilty for being a detractor though because I have such a heart boner for him right now. He could become our Norse God if he scores the winner next week.

Have you ever thought that we might be delighted to look a bit stupid? Because being right on the internet isn’t life.
To be honest his performances this season just support what many of us said last season, that he was capable of so much more than he was producing. I was annoyed with him last year because we needed him to be scoring and assisting and he wasn't. I knew full well he could do it, but my criticism was of the fact he wasn't. This year he is, so i'm happy. It's not a difficult concept I don't think.
It’s also not a difficult concept to see that we were turd last year and had ron, unsworth and sam managing the team, he was also having to play LB because coco ( the worst RB in the prem) was supposed to be at leftback , he scored goals form the half way line and long rangers as we never got near the goal. He’s always been class and now has actual footballers around him , that’s he difference

It's not, no. That's why I said as much last season. He still wasn't good enough last season though, I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that he would admit that himself. The type of chances he's scored this season he was missing last year, it just wasn't happening for him. The improvements to the team have obviously helped, but his individual performances have also been much better.

So we just dismiss how cack he was for the majority of last season, and those who criticised him should be embarrassed etc, LOL at the rawk levels of bellendish there.
I always said I wanted him to do the bizz, and am actually made up he’s doing it, he does well, he contributes to us as a team doing well, and that’s all what matters.
We’re going to be relying on him to put in a big performance on Sunday.
